In-Person + Online Therapy in San Diego

Patch Counseling offers in-person therapy at our Rancho Bernardo office and online therapy for clients throughout California. We work with pre-teens, teens, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, perfectionism, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

Whether you meet with us in person or online, therapy is tailored to your needs, goals, and stage of life.

In-Person Therapy in San Diego

Many clients appreciate having a dedicated space away from school, work, family responsibilities, and everyday distractions where they can focus on therapy.

In-person sessions can be particularly helpful for pre-teens and teens, clients participating in Clinical Art Therapy, and anyone who finds it easier to connect and engage face-to-face.

Our office is located in Rancho Bernardo and serves clients throughout nearby San Diego communities, including Poway, 4S Ranch, Del Sur, Scripps Ranch, and surrounding areas.

Online Therapy Throughout California

Online therapy provides greater flexibility for college students, busy professionals, parents, and clients who live outside of San Diego County. Sessions take place through a secure video platform, allowing you to meet with your therapist from a private location without adding a commute to your schedule.

Online sessions can also make it easier to maintain consistency when work, school, travel, or other responsibilities make getting to the office difficult.

All you need is a private space, reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer.

Which Option Is Right for Me?

Both in-person and online therapy can be effective, and the best format depends on your needs and preferences.

We generally recommend in-person therapy for local pre-teens and younger teens when possible. Having a dedicated space away from home, school, and screens can support engagement and make it easier to build a relationship with their therapist. Once rapport is established, online sessions may be an option when appropriate.

For older teens and adults, in-person, online, or a combination of both may be considered based on individual needs.
